Chazy wins a close one, edging E'town 1-0.

From the Press-Republican writeup:

"Chazy does it again to E'town

ELIZABETHTOWN -- You don't win three state championships without a few close calls along the way.

"They (Chazy) know how to play in those tight games, that's for sure," acknowledged Elizabethtown-Lewis Coach Paul Buehler, after his gallant Lions fell 1-0 Friday to the Eagles, the reigning state champs in Class D boys' soccer.

Stetson Fields scored from Jason Baker with 7:46 to play in the first half and Chazy (14-1) made it stand up for its second 1-0 victory over rival E'town-Lewis this fall.

"It was an evenly played game. We had a number of opportunities early on and some good ones in the second half," Buehler recalled. "And they (Chazy) had some great opportunities, too.

"It was just another classic E'town-Chazy soccer game."
