Both the Chazy boys and girls teams are back in the NY State Final Four, again! The boys defeated Section X champions Parishville-Hopkinton 1-0 to advance.
From the P-R write-up: "This hasn't been your usual high-scoring Chazy boys' soccer team.
But, this group of Eagles has built some character while still carrying on the winning tradition.
The defending Class D state champions advanced to yet another NYSPHSAA Final Four when Jason Baker's goal lifted Chazy a 1-0 victory over Parishville-Hopkinton in state quarterfinal play Friday night at Potsdam High School.
The win sends the top-ranked Eagles (21-1 overall) into next weekend's Final Four semifinal at 11:15 a.m. in Oneonta against the winner of today's Maple Grove versus Wheatland Chili contest."
Jason Baker scored his second straight game-winner, his 7th goal in his last 4 playoff games.
